Audit tool - Infection Prevention Society (IPS)

To improve decontamination policy and procedure within dentistry, the IPS have introduced a new audit tool which this HTM guide is specifically interlinked with.

The practice must have this available when being audited by an external body such as a PCT who would use it as part of their own risk assessment.

The HTM 01-05 states that the audit tool documents must be kept for at least two years and not removed from the premises or destroyed.
